American Taxpayers Should Never Be Forced To Pay For Abortions

H.R. 18, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, is a life-saving bill that codifies into law the Hyde amendment, which has recently come under attack from radical Democrats.  Yesterday House Democrats had an opportunity to consider H.R. 18, which would prevent taxpayer dollars from going to abortions, and they refused to take it up. American taxpayers should never be forced to pay for abortions.  The Hyde Amendment is something that Republicans and Democrats have supported for more than 40 years.  Every president since Carter has signed the Hyde Amendment into law, including President Obama. It is a critical, life-saving protection that goes beyond party-line politics. This is about human life and protecting the most innocent among us. THE FACTS:

House Republicans this week launched an “18 Days for H.R. 18” congressional campaign. Between now and the August recess, pro-life legislators will be seeking unanimous consent on the House floor for consideration of H.R. 18, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act. We must stand up, and fight back, against President Biden’s efforts to have the most pro-abortion administration in history.
