Today, as hundreds of thousands prepare to stand for life in our nation's capital, House Republicans continue to show the American people that we will always be a voice for the most vulnerable among us. 
 
A new Knights of Columbus-Marist Poll shows that the American people overwhelmingly support House Republicans' pro-life agenda. 
 
According to the poll:

• 66% of Americans support placing legal limits on abortion.
• 53% of Americans oppose or strongly oppose using tax dollars to pay for abortion. 
• 67% of Americans oppose or strongly oppose using tax dollars to pay for abortion in other countries. 
• 66% of Americans think doctors, nurses, or other healthcare professionals who have religious objections to abortion should not legally be required to perform abortions. 
• 86% of Americans oppose or strongly oppose abortions because of the child’s gender.  
• 58% of Americans oppose or strongly oppose abortions because the child will be born with Down Syndrome. 
• 83% of Americans support pregnancy resource centers. 
• 86% of Americans believe it is possible to have laws which protect both the health and well-being of a woman and the life of the unborn.  

On Thursday, House Republicans passed the Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act, which protects pregnancy centers after Joe Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services announced plans to restrict states from using Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funding for these pregnancy centers.  
 
On Thursday, House Republicans also passed the Pregnant Students’ Rights Act, which requires colleges and universities to inform pregnant women on campus of their rights and resources, particularly protections and accommodations available to them to carry their baby to term as a condition of Title IV funding. 
 
HOW HOUSE REPUBLICANS IN THE 118th CONGRESS HAVE ALREADY STOOD FOR LIFE:

• PASSED the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act:
  • This legislation requires appropriate medical care for children who survive abortion procedures and imposes strong criminal penalties for failure to provide such care. Additionally, the bill protects women upon whom abortions have been performed from prosecution. 
  • House Democrats and the Biden Administration are wildly out of step with the values of the American people, who disapprove of late-term abortions.
• PASSED a Resolution Condemning Attacks On Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers And Churches:
  • This resolution rightfully condemns the political attacks and vandalism against crisis pregnancy centers, churches, and pro-life organizations by Far Left activists following the leak of the historic Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization draft opinion.
