Today, House Republicans will bring to the floor the Fiscal Year 2025 Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, which prioritizes funding to maintain strong national security, energy security, and economic competitiveness, while also reining in wasteful Washington spending.
This bill provides the largest investment in mining production technologies for critical minerals extraction in decades, reducing reliance on foreign sources while also safeguarding energy and technology assets from being used by foreign adversaries like Communist China and Russia.
The FY25 Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act also rejects the Biden-Harris Administration’s harmful pause on new liquified natural gas (LNG) exports.
