Since becoming President, Joe Biden has created crisis after crisis, causing inflation to skyrocket, gas prices to reach historic highs, violent crime to surge in our cities, an invasion from deadly drug cartels at our borders, and Joe Biden’s weakness on the world stage has plunged the world into a state of constant chaos.  
 
Simply put, Americans cannot afford another four years of Joe Biden as our President.  
 
Over the last 100 days, Americans have seen firsthand that it is Republicans that deliver results, not extreme Democrats. House Republicans have fought against Joe Biden and the Democrats’ reckless policies to deliver on our Commitment to America - an Economy that’s Strong, a Nation that’s Safe, a Future that’s Built on Freedom, and a Government that’s Accountable. We need more commonsense Republican leadership, NOT four more years of Joe Biden. 

 
BIDEN’S ECONOMIC CRISIS BY THE NUMBERS:

• Inflation is a tax on ALL Americans.
• When Joe Biden took office, inflation was at just 1.4%. 
• In March, the CPI came in at 5.0% over the last 12 months.
• Americans are paying more for just about everything because of inflation:
  • Food at elementary and secondary schools is UP 296.3%
  • Food at employee sites and schools is UP 131.3%
  • Eggs are UP 36.0%
  • Margarine is UP 33.4%
  • Airline fares are UP 17.7%
  • Motor vehicle maintenance and repair are UP 13.3%
  • Flour is UP 17.7%
  • Frozen vegetables are UP 20.1%
  • Cookies are UP 16.6%
  • Transportation services are UP 13.9%
  • White bread is UP 16.5%
  • Pet food is UP 14.4%
  • Milk is UP 5.5%
• Year-over-year real wage growth has been negative for 24 months. 
• Real average hourly earnings decreased .7%, seasonally adjusted, from March 2022 to March 2023.
• For months, the Biden Administration ignored inflation: 
  • In July 2021, Joe Biden told the American people inflation was just "temporary" after the CPI increased to 5.4%. 
  • In October 2021, White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain called inflation a "high-class problem.”
  • In February, Biden said he took no blame for America’s inflation crisis, even though inflation has skyrocketed because of his Far Left agenda and out-of-control government spending.   
• The skyrocketing cost of goods and services cost families $10,000 over the last two years. 
• A new ABC News-Washington Post poll reports more Americans than ever before say they are WORSE off financially than before the president took office. 
  • According to the same poll, six in ten Americans argue that President Biden has accomplished  “not very much” or “little or nothing” since taking office. 

 
BIDEN’S ENERGY CRISIS BY THE NUMBERS:

• On the day that Biden was sworn into office, the average price for a gallon of gas nationwide was $2.39.
• Today the national average for a gallon of gas is $3.67. 
• Biden’s war on American energy resulted in gas prices reaching a historic high of over $5 in June 2022. 
• According to the Energy Assistance Directors Association, households were expected to pay the highest energy costs in 15 years this winter.
  • Electricity prices were expected to rise over 11% this winter.
  • Natural gas prices were expected to rise as much as 25% since last winter.
    • About 47% of households use natural gas to heat their homes.
    • Home heating oil prices were expected to rise as much as 45% since last winter.
    • Over 80% of home heating oil use is in the Northeast.

 
BIDEN’S BORDER CRISIS BY THE NUMBERS:

• Since Joe Biden took office:
  • There have been OVER 5 MILLION illegal crossings of our southern border.
  • More than 1.3 MILLION illegal immigrants have evaded apprehension at our southern border, according to Border Patrol sources.
    • This is larger than the population of Los Angeles, California, the second-largest city in the United States.
• CBP has seized over 14,000 pounds of fentanyl coming across the Southwest border—Enough to kill over 3.1 billion.
  • In March 2023, fentanyl seizures increased 25% compared to the month prior.
• In just the first six months of FY 2023, 80 people whose names appear on the terrorist watchlist were stopped trying to cross the southern border.
  • This total is more than the encounters in all FY17, FY18, FY19, FY20, and FY21 combined. 
  • There were 98 terror watchlist arrests in FY22.
  • In March, Border patrol agents apprehended an individual on the terrorist watch list for the second month in a row. 
• Homeland Security Investigations are now estimating that cartels are now making $13 BILLION a year smuggling illegal immigrants into the U.S. 
• Biden’s Far Left open border policies are to blame for this historic crisis. 
  • During Biden’s first 100 days in office, he took 94 executive actions on immigration, including halting the construction of the border wall. 
  • In August 2022, Biden and his Administration decided to make the border crisis WORSE by formally ending former President Trump’s successful‘Remain in Mexico’ program.
  • The Biden Administration has actively worked to end Title 42 and incentivize a worsening influx of illegal migrants at our southern border. 
• Despite this historic crisis Joe Biden has only visited the southern border ONCE, and it was widely panned as nothing more than a photo-op.
• So many illegal immigrants have been released at the southern border that New York City’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office is “fully booked through October 2032” to process many of these migrants. 

 
BIDEN’S CRIME CRISIS BY THE NUMBERS:

• According to the National Fraternal Order of Police, in 2023:
  • 99 officers have been shot.
  • 10 officers have been killed by gunfire.
  • The amount of officers shot in the line of duty is up 57%from this time in 2020.
  • 33 police officers were shot in ambush-style attacks.
  • 27 ambush style attacks on police officers. 
• According to the Major Cities Chiefs Association’s 2022 crime report for urban areas across the country, in 2022:
  • Homicides were UP 13% since 2020
  • Rape was UP 23.56% since 2020
  • Aggravated Assaults were UP 33.89% since 2020
• 2021 was the deadliest year in two decades for our law enforcement officers.
• Biden’s Department of Justice released a report in December showing that even as crime skyrocketed in 2021, federal arrests actually decreased by 35%compared to 2020.

 
BIDEN’S NATIONAL SECURITY CRISIS

• Joe Biden has failed to stand up to our adversaries in Beijing, Tehran, and Moscow. 
• The Biden Administration allowed a Chinese surveillance balloon to traverse the entire continental U.S. over the course of 7 days,gathering intelligence and flying over sensitive military sites, before taking action. 
  • The balloon entered U.S. airspace on January 28th over the Aleutian Islands in Alaska.
  • Despite President Biden knowing of the threat and invasion of U.S. airspace violating our national sovereignty, he waited 5 days before issuing an order to shoot down the balloon.
  • The American people deserve to know why Joe Biden allowed this national security threat for so long, why he tried to hide it from the American people, and what information our foreign adversaries were gathering. 
• Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan resulted in:
  • OVER 1,000 Americans abandoned behind enemy lines for months at the mercy of the Taliban and $7 billion in U.S. military equipment left behind. 
• Under Biden, the U.S Army fell 15,000 soldiers short of their recruitment goal for FY22, missing by 25%.
• According to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Personnel Policy, who testified before the Senate Armed Services Personnel Subcommittee, “This constitutes an unprecedented mission gap.”
• The Army projects the number of active duty soldiers could drop by as much as 6% in FY23, below the branch’s budgeted target request for the year.
