House Republicans will deliver on our commitment to preserving a future that’s built on freedom by bringing to the floor the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. House Republicans will also vote on a resolution condemning the nearly 80 documented attacks on pro-life facilities, groups, and churches following the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Supreme Court decision leak.

HOW HOUSE REPUBLICANS ARE WORKING TO DEFEND LIFE

• The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act:
  • This legislation requires appropriate medical care for children who survive abortion procedures and imposes strong criminal penalties for failure to provide such care. Additionally, the bill protects women upon whom abortions have been performed from prosecution.
  • Every unborn child is a precious human life. House Republicans will never stop defending the rights of the most vulnerable among us.
  • House Democrats and the Biden administration are wildly out of step with the values of the American people, who disapprove of late-term abortions.
• Resolution in support of crisis pregnancy centers following recent attacks by radicals:
  • Following the historic Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Supreme Court ruling, House Democrat leadership and the Biden administration refused to properly condemn and address political attacks against crisis pregnancy centers, churches, and pro-life organizations by Far Left activists.
  • Crisis pregnancy centers provide crucial assistance to mothers, babies, and families in need, and these attacks drain resources that could save lives.
  • This resolution rightfully condemns these political attacks and vandalism and stands with those who defend the fundamental right to life. House Republicans demand the Biden administration to investigate these violent political attacks fully and stand for law and order.

THE FACTS ON DEMOCRATS’ RADICAL AGENDA:

• There have now been nearly 80 recorded acts of violence and intimidation against pro-life individuals and organizations by radical pro-abortion activists since the initial leak of the draft Supreme Court Dobbs opinion.
• According to the Charlotte Lozier Institute, hundreds of babies have been born following failed abortion procedures, and less than half of states have sufficient protections for them.
• The U.S. is one of a small handful of nations, including China and North Korea, that allows late-term abortion on demand up to the moment of birth.
• The American people overwhelmingly believe babies who are born alive should be protected.
• According to a Harvard/Harris poll, over 70% of voters prefer to limit abortion to 15 weeks.
• 70% of voters oppose abortion without restrictions, according to a national poll by OnMessage Inc..
• 58% of Americans hold strong opposition to Congressional Democrats and the Biden administration’s support of taxpayer-funded abortions, according to a Marist/Knights of Columbus poll.
• Since 2016, crisis pregnancy centers have saved more than 800,000 lives.
• Over 70% of voters approve of crisis pregnancy centers.
• The Hyde Amendment has saved more than 2.5 million lives.
