Biden’s State Of The Union In Crisis

President Biden will deliver his first State of the Union address this evening as America faces an unprecedented number of crises.

America faces a national security crisis, an energy crisis, an economic crisis, a border crisis, and a crime crisis, all brought about by Biden’s failed Far-Left agenda and weakness on the world stage.

Joe Biden will attempt to rewrite history this evening, but we won’t let him. House Republican Conference will be using the hashtag #SOTUinCrisis on social media to highlight Biden’s State of the Union in crisis and how it is negatively impacting Americans.

PRESIDENT BIDEN CREATED AMERICA’S NATIONAL SECURITY CRISIS:

  • President Biden’s weakness and inability to hold Russia accountable for its aggressive behavior has created a vacuum in the world.
  • Vladimir Putin is looking to fill that vacuum left by Biden’s weakness with his invasion of Ukraine.
  • Rather than impose crippling sanctions on Russia that could have deterred their invasion of Ukraine, the Biden administration lobbied AGAINST such sanctions.
  • Biden failed to sanction the now-complete Nord Stream II pipeline, giving Russia a stranglehold on European energy supplies.
    • Earlier this year, the Biden White House sent top officials to lobby Senate Democrats against Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-Texas) legislation, which would sanction Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
  • The Biden administration’s sanctions on Russia “missed” many in Putin’s inner circle.
  • The sanctions the Biden administration has imposed on Russia hardly touch the Russian energy sector.
  • President Biden is to blame for the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan. No one else.
    • President Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan led to an unknown number of Americans being abandoned behind enemy lines in Afghanistan.
  • The Biden administration is shutting down a Justice Department program that focused on countering Chinese espionage.
  • The Biden administration “repeatedly urged China to help avert war in Ukraine,” which most likely led to China sharing U.S. intel on the invasion with Russia.
  • President Biden and his administration have proven that they will not hold Communist China accountable for its lack of transparency and mishandling of the COVID-19 outbreak.

BIDEN’S ECONOMIC CRISIS BY THE NUMBERS:

BIDEN’S ENERGY CRISIS BY THE NUMBERS:

  • The national average for a gallon of gas was $3.61 on Monday.
    • This is a 33% increase from this day in 2021.
    • Americans are now paying an extra $12 for a tank of gas on average compared to a year ago.
    • Americans have not paid this much for gas since the Obama-Biden administration.
  • U.S. households will pay between $700 and $1,700 more for heat this winter, depending upon where they live and what type of fuel they use.
  • According to a new report by the Heartland Institute, Biden’s anti-energy agenda cost Americans an extra $1,000 in energy costs last year.
  • Natural gas, which is used to heat nearly half of all U.S. homes, is 32%more expensive than it was a year ago, according to the U.S. Energy Information Agency.
    • In some parts of the country, prices are even higher — including a 45% increase in the Midwest.
    • The price of heating oil, which is primarily used in older homes and buildings in the Northeast and other cold weather areas of the country, is up 35%.
  • One in six American adults reported that they could not pay their full energy bill in the last 12 months.

BIDEN’S BORDER CRISIS BY THE NUMBERS:

  •  In January, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported that there were 153,941 migrant encounters at our southern border.
    • That is a 96% increase from the previous year.
    • This was the worst January on record in over two decades.
  • Of the 153,941 illegal immigrants encountered at the border, the Biden administration released 62,573 into the United States.
  • This new data comes at a time when ICE deportations are down 70%from 2020, the fewest number of deportations in 5 years.
    • This equates to an average of just 100 deportations a day, even as border patrol agents encountered up to 7,000 illegal immigrants daily.
  • Since Biden took office over 2 MILLION illegal immigrants have been apprehended at our southern border.
  • Border officials have estimated that nearly 400,000 illegal immigrantshave escaped into the U.S. without being caught under Biden.
  • Out of 104,171 migrants issued Notices to Report by ICE between the end of March and the end of August 2021, 47,705 failed to report within that time frame.
  • There were 10,763 arrests of migrants with criminal convictions in FY 2021, up from 2,438 in FY 2020 and 4,269 in FY 2019.

BIDEN’S CRIME CRISIS:

  • Under President Biden, more police officers were killed in the line of duty in 2021 than in any year since 1995.
    • In 2021, 73 police officers were killed – a 59% increase from 2020.
  • According to the National Fraternal Order of Police, at least 30 policeofficers were shot in January, which is a 67% increase from last year.
  • A new Politico/Morning Consult poll shows 2 in 3 voters, 69% of Americans, think more police funding would decrease crime.
    • A new Ipsos poll also found that 64% of Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of crime.
  • In 2021, over a dozen U.S. cities set new homicide records in 2021.
  • In 2021, there were 346 officers shot, 63 of whom were killed by gunfire.
  • In 2021, there were 103 ambush-style attacks on law enforcement officers, a 115% increase from 2020.
  • Progressive prosecutors, seeking sentence alternatives to jail time, are located in cities that represent over 20% of the nation’s population.
