Biden “Forgets” He Visited China With Son Hunter In 2013

This afternoon President Biden claimed, “I haven't been to China." This is FALSE! In 2013, then-Vice President Biden and his son Hunter flew aboard Air Force Two to China. Ten days later, Hunter Biden’s firm scored a $1.5 BILLION deal with a subsidiary of the Chinese government’s Bank of China. According to NBC News: What wasn't known then was that as he accompanied his father to China, Hunter Biden was forming a Chinese private equity fund that associates said at the time was planning to raise big money, including from China. Hunter Biden has acknowledged meeting with Jonathan Li, a Chinese banker and his partner in the fund during the trip, although his spokesman says it was a social visit. The Chinese business license that brought the new fund into existence was issued by Shanghai authorities 10 days after the trip, with Hunter Biden a member of the board. During Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign he pledged that his family would be free of international financial entanglements. “No one in my family will...have any business relationship with anyone that relates to a foreign corporation or a foreign country,” Biden said This would appear to be another broken promise from President Biden. The Washington Examiner reported just yesterday that Hunter “still holds a 10% equity stake in Bohai Harvest RST (Shanghai) Equity Investment Fund Management Company, according to Chinese business records.”  Given the recent string of stories regarding Biden family members using their ties to the President to generate meetings for their clients, it's not surprising that President Biden would want to forget about his 2013 trip to China with Hunter.
