Chairwoman Lisa McClain Votes to Reverse Five More of Biden’s Nonsense Policies

WASHINGTON—House Republican Chairwoman Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed five pieces of legislation aimed at reversing unnecessary Biden-era regulations burdening American manufacturing, recreation, workers, and consumers:

“Democrats spent years prioritizing their oppressive climate agenda and limiting consumers’ choice,” Chairwoman McClain said. “This week, House Republicans reversed five MORE of these flawed Biden policies. The American people should know that we are replacing Democrats’ nonsense with common-sense.”

Chairwoman McClain is an original co-sponsor of H.J.Res.87, H.J.Res.88, and H.J.Res.89:

  • H.J.Res.60 reverses the rule from the National Park Service that imposes new restrictions on motor vehicle use within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

  • H.J. Res.78 reverses the rule from the Fish and Wildlife Service designating the San Francisco Bay-Delta Distinct Population Segment of the Longfin Smelt as an endangered species.

  • H.J.Res.87 reverses a rule from the EPA granting California waivers mandating truck makers sell zero-emission trucks.

  • H.J.Res.88 reverses a rule from the EPA granting California a waiver to ban the sale of gas-powered vehicles by 2035.

  • H.J.Res.89 reverses a rule from the EPA granting California a waiver to implement nitrogen oxide engine emission standards, which create unworkable standards for heavy-duty on-road engines.
