Chairwoman McClain Statement on the U.S. House Passing Legislation to Reverse a Biden-era Burdensome Regulation Limiting Domestic Energy Production

WASHINGTON — House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed S. J. Res. 11, which reverses an unnecessary regulation from Biden’s Department of the Interior Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) that requires an archaeological report for oil and gas exploration on the Outer Continental Shelf:

“House Republicans are proud to send this resolution to President Trump’s desk. This is a major step towards unleashing American energy, lowering costs, and undoing the damage of the Biden-Harris administration,” Chairwoman McClain said

S. J. Res. 11 reverses a regulation from Biden’s BOEM that requires oil and gas lessees to submit an archaeological report for approval prior to conducting any oil and gas exploration or development, limiting American energy production and raising prices for consumers.
