WASHINGTON— House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) released the following statement on the third anniversary of Hamas’s October 7, 2023, terrorist attack on Israel.

“Three years ago, Hamas terrorists committed one of the darkest acts of terrorism against the Jewish people in history. Nearly 1,200 innocent civilians were murdered and 251 were taken hostage. We remember every life stolen and every family forced to endure the unimaginable. We will never allow anyone to minimize or excuse the evil of October 7.

“President Trump kept his promise to bring every hostage home. America will continue to stand with Israel and against the vile acts of terrorism.

“We must also confront the antisemitism that has spread here at home since that horrific day. Terror can never be tolerated, hatred can never be ignored, and October 7 must never happen again.”
