Chairwoman McClain and Rep. Goldman Statements on the House Reversing a Biden-era Regulation to Lower Costs for American Businesses and Families

WASHINGTON—The U.S. House of Representatives passed Representative Craig Goldman’s (R-Tex.) bill, H.J.Res.75, to reverse another burdensome Biden-era regulation that set energy consumption limits on commercial refrigerators, freezers, and refrigerator-freezers, which increased expenses for businesses and consumers.

House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) and Rep. Goldman released the following statements:

“House Republicans are wasting no time in reversing Biden’s burdensome policies. We are delivering on the promises made to lower costs, help taxpayers keep more of their hard-earned money, and give American businesses an opportunity to succeed again,” Chairwoman McClain said

“I am grateful to my House Republican colleagues for their support of my resolution, H.J. Res. 75, which repeals the Biden administration’s burdensome regulations on commercial refrigerators and freezers. This is an important measure to block the implementation of regulations that would have increased the cost of living for millions of Americans,” Rep. Craig Goldman said.
