Chairwoman McClain’s Statement on the U.S. House Passing a Clean Continuing Resolution to Keep the Federal Government Open

WASHINGTON – House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed a clean Continuing Resolution (CR)—H.R. 1968—that freezes spending and keeps the federal government open: “It was sad to see that most Democrats—212—stood united against America. They voted against our troops, small businesses, nutritional assistance for our children and mothers, our veterans, and relief projects. They are the true chaos agents,” Chairwoman McClain said. “But President Trump, Vice President Vance, and House Republicans got it done. We have given President Trump and Congress time to fulfill the people’s agenda.
