PENNSYLVANIA– House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) and Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Pa.) highlighted how the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) is creating jobs and strengthening national security during the third manufacturing visit of the One Big Beautiful Tour.

During the visit, Chairwoman McClain and Rep. Mackenzie toured U.S. Metal Powders / AMPAL in Palmerton, Pennsylvania, a critical supplier of aluminum powder to the Department of Defense. They spoke with the owner and workers about new investments and hiring made possible by the OBBB’s tax cuts. The company’s workers also praised the bill’s “no tax on overtime” provision, as the manufacturing plant operates 24/7 and workers frequently participate in overtime shifts.

It is a shame that every single Democrat voted to take money away from hardworking Americans,” Chairwoman McClain said. “We heard from workers in Rep. Mackenzie’s district who will directly benefit from the OBBB delivering no tax on their overtime and tips. The added$10,000 a year back into families’ pockets will go towards things like much-needed vacations and back-to-school supplies, which truly makes a difference. There’s something for everyone in the One Big Beautiful Bill, and Republicans will continue to tout this pro-growth, pro-worker, and pro-family bill.”

The OBBB provides the largest middle- and working-class tax cut in U.S. history, putting over $10,000 a year back into hardworking families’ pockets. The no tax on tips and overtime pay provisions allow service workers and other employees to keep more of their earnings.

Chairwoman McClain and Rep. Mackenzie also stopped at a local McDonald’s where they heard from employees who are excited about the huge tax cuts and the game-changing provisions like no tax on tips and no tax on overtime.

The One Big Beautiful Bill Delivers for Pennsylvania:

No tax on overtime. This will allow workers to keep more of their earnings. On average, Americans will receive up to $1,400 more from no tax on overtime per year. In Pennsylvania, 23% of workers regularly work overtime, and 64% are in jobs likely eligible to benefit from this OBBB provision.

No tax on tips. Around 5% of the labor force is employed in occupations that would likely benefit from the no taxes on tips.

No tax on social security. Around 2.3 million seniors in Pennsylvania could benefit from the no taxes on social security provision.

Higher wages. $3,700 to $6,700 over the next four years.

More money in the pockets of middle-class families. A typical family with two children in Pennsylvania can expect to see higher take-home pay of about $7,300 to $10,400 with OBBB compared to if it was not passed.

Protecting Jobs. 252,000 jobs protected in Pennsylvania.

100% expensing for new factories, equipment, and improvements. This allows manufacturers to immediately deduct the full cost of these investments. This provision is intended to give companies the incentive and financial certainty to build, expand, and modernize their facilities.

20% small business deduction. This permanent tax break for small businesses will encourage job creation and growth among small and mid-sized businesses, which are the backbone of the manufacturing sector.

Full expensing for domestic research and development (R&D). Encourage innovation and ensure the U.S. remains a leader in manufacturing technology.
