Ensures hours for volunteer firefighters and emergency responders do not count when determining full-time employeesfor purposes of the employer mandate under Obamacare.

MEDICARE ACCESS AND CHIP REAUTHORIZATION ACT OF 2015
H.R. 2 – Rep. Michael Burgess

Repeals the Medicare ‘Doc Fix’ formula and replaces it with a formula that provides stability to Medicare physician payments. The legislation also extends the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) through FY2017.

Amends the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to ensure that emergency services volunteers are not taken into account as employees under the shared responsibility requirements contained in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Amends the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to delay the implementation of the penalty for failure to comply with the individual health insurance mandate.
