Senator Donnelly, how can you be ‘undecided’ about a #SchumerShutdown?

Senator Joe Donnelly of Indiana says he is ‘undecided’ about whether or not to vote for a #SchumerShutdown. Ummm….what?

How can you be ‘undecided’ about whether or not to provide thousands of children from low- and middle-income families in Indiana health care coverage?

How can you be ‘undecided’ about whether or not our troops deserve a paycheck, or government services be available to those who need them?

How can you be ‘undecided’ about a two-year suspension of the medical device tax that is crushing businesses in your state — when you’ve strongly supported fully REPEALING it?

If this #SchumerShutdown happens, this is on you, Senator Donnelly.

House Republicans from Indiana did their job yesterday, voting for funding for CHIP and our troops and to keep this government open. And now they’re calling on Senate Democrats, like Senator Donnelly, to do the same.

Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN):

“The medical device tax is a job killer–no place bigger than in my district. … This is not a partisan issue.  This is a common-sense issue.  This is about job creation.  This is about keeping R&D in this country.  This is common sense.  The only thing that could possibly stand in the way of this tax not coming back is the action we need from Senate Democrats tonight.  … I am proud tonight that we are able to move this tax back for two years with the hopes that Senate Democrats will do the right thing.”
