This summer, we took our Better Way agenda on the road, to share our ideas with the people who inspired them. Since then, we’ve been hard at work making those ideas a reality, already setting a number of these proposals into motion as we aim to tackle some of the most pressing issues of our time.
Earlier today, at a press conference on Capitol Hill, Rep. Tom Marino (R-PA) talked about how his bill, the REVIEW Act, addresses the regulatory overreach of executive agencies and ensures high-impact rules and regulations are properly reviewed before implementation.
Why is this important? Well, as Rep. Marino says, “President Obama’s failed policies continue to crush jobs in manufacturing, in energy, in small business, just to name a few. … Our REVIEW Act will save billions of dollars and create tens of thousands of jobs.”
We don’t think a one-size-fits-all approach is going to work for families. That’s because it creates economic stagnation and stifles innovation and job creation. “Hardworking taxpayers are tired of the continuing spending of this administration and not producing good paying jobs,” says Marino.
What all of this means is our Better Way plan is more than just words on paper (that happen to look good, too). House Republicans are taking the ideas we’re hearing from the American people, and we’re putting them into action. For example, a big part of our Better Way to for the Economy is about making sure we regulate smarter because telling farmers when their cattle can and can’t graze on their own land is just ridiculous.
We need common sense. We need a Better Way. See more about our plan by visiting better.gop.
