Today, at a press conference on Capitol Hill, Rep. Martha Roby (R-AL) joined House Republican Leadership to talk about her legislation, the Working Families Flexibility Act, and how it will help bring workplace flexibility to families in the private sector through allowing employers to offer employees compensatory time rather than cash payments for overtime work.

Says Roby, “This is something that we can do to demonstrate to the American people about how we care about the need for flexibility in the workforce, and the Working Families Flexibility Act does just that by giving hourly wage employees in the workforce the ability to utilize paid time off, compensatory time, if they choose to in a voluntarily agreement with their employer.”

As she said on Twitter, “Simply put, it would empower workers by giving them greater control of their own time.”
