House Republicans: Jobs and the Economy

WASHINGTON, D.C. —House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement after the House passed the Small Business Mergers, Acquisitions, Sales, and Brokerage Simplification Act of 2017 (H.R. 477), sponsored by Rep. Bill Huizenga. This bill was also  included in the Financial CHOICE Act which passed the House on June 8, 2017.

“Today, the House voted to provide additional relief to small businesses from the complexity of Washington’s one-size-fits-all financial regulations. Rep. Huizenga’s bill ensures small business owners have better access to the expertise that will help them succeed, grow, and create jobs. This solution supports economic growth and it will foster a stronger environment for communities to thrive from the ground up. I thank Rep. Huizenga for his important work.”
