House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement after the House passed a continuing resolution to fund the government until May 5, 2017.
“This short-term funding extension will provide the time needed for us to reach a bipartisan agreement on how best to prioritize government funding for the remainder of the fiscal year. I thank our House Appropriations Committee Chairman Rodney Frelinghuysen for his leadership and for ensuring that there’s no lapse in funding for our military and other important government operations.”
