McMorris Rodgers: Today’s health care numbers paint an old picture

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement after the release of the Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General’s Obamacare verification report, in which it was found that over 2.6 million inconsistencies in the subsidy program remain unresolved.

“Today’s reports paint an old picture – one of a flawed health care law full of broken promises. The inability of the Administration to safeguard Americans from wasteful, fraudulent payments is unfair and costly to hardworking taxpayers. These inconsistencies are just another example of how the Administration is unwilling to comply with its own law. The one-size-fits-all mandates of the President’s health care law are not working – in fact, they are making life harder for more Americans. We need a health care solution that starts over, not one that is haphazardly and inefficiently managed, failing to protect taxpayers from waste and fraud.”
