McMorris Rodgers Statement on the Iran Accountability Act

House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement after the House passed the Iran Accountability Act (H.R. 5631).

“The primary responsibility of the federal government is the safety and security of the American people,” said McMorris Rodgers. “The Obama Administration, despite its promises, has failed to hold Iran accountable for its support of terrorism, the illegal development of its ballistic missile program, and human rights abuses. This bill requires the Administration to take real steps toward stopping Iran from engaging in its dangerous and destabilizing behavior, which threatens America and its allies. Our nation’s security will be greatly enhanced should the President decide to embrace this common sense approach.”
