McMorris Rodgers on President Obama’s Last Budget

Communications • February 9, 2016

Washington, D.C. – House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) today released the following statement on President Obama’s Fiscal Year 2017 Budget proposal.

“House Republicans are offering America a choice as we move forward in 2016.  In our positive vision for the future, every American feels secure in their lives and futures – because their voices are being heard by, and reflected through, their elected representatives.  This is the key to restoring a confident America.

“Compare all of this to President Obama’s approach.  Just this week, he offered a budget that raises taxes on families already feeling squeezed, puts more power in the hands of government bureaucrats disconnected from their mission – and never balances.  His budget is just more of the same, top-down ideas.”
