WASHINGTON, DC – House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) applauded the passage today of H.R. 3522, the Employee Health Care Protection Act of 2014, which enables more Americans to keep their health plans.
“Since the implementation of Obamacare, too many people across the country have lost the health plans that best fit their needs. They’re struggling with higher premiums, less coverage, and fewer choices – and they deserve the flexibility to choose their own health care coverage. So today we voted to protect the millions of Americans who were going to lose their insurance this fall due to Obamacare. We are enabling small businesses and their employees the flexibility to keep their plans – and to choose from new, affordable options. And we are enabling them to take home more of their paychecks so that they can achieve a better life. I applaud Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and Energy and Commerce Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) for their continued efforts to help Americans access affordable health care.”
