McMorris Rodgers: Growing America’s Economy, Not Washington D.C.’s

“As part of America’s Opportunity Economy, this legislation gives small businesses the certainty they need to expand, plan for the future, and help make their employees’ lives better.”

WASHINGTON D.C. – House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement today after the House passed H.R. 636, America’s Small Business Tax Relief Act of 2015.

“Today the House spoke for the millions of small business employees across America. These are our moms and dads, our nurses and retail employees, our neighbors working the late-night shifts at our local restaurants, our tech entrepreneurs, and our hourly workers struggling to make ends meet. Today I spoke for them. As part of America’s Opportunity Economy, this legislation gives small businesses the certainty they need to expand, plan for the future, and make their employees’ lives better. These reforms add certainty to our broken tax code – one that is too cumbersome and complicated for those running America’s small businesses. I applaud Rep. Pat Tiberi (R-OH) for his dedication to making life better for America’s small business employees, and I stand fully committed to growing America’s economy – not Washington, D.C.’s.”
