Hundreds of thousands at risk of losing health insurance due to website glitches

Remember the Healthcare.gov “glitches”? The glitches even John Stewart mocked?

Healthcare.gov’s problems are back with a vengeance and could lead to hundreds of thousands of Americans losing their health insurance.

From CNN this morning:

Over 300,000 people received letters last week saying their personal information must be verified by next Friday, September 5th, or their health insurance would be canceled.

Easy enough, right? Not with healthcare.gov.

USA Today reported yesterday that “consumers are being forced to send their information multiple times, and many can’t access their accounts at all.” To make bad matters worse, all accounts had their passwords automatically changed in April due to a security breach.

For a $1.7 billion website, Healthcare.gov just can’t seem to get it right.
