House Dems Refuse To Combat Anti-Semitism (Again)

Today, House Democrats on the Appropriations Committee voted against an amendment that would allow the Department of Defense to restrict our government from doing business with entities engaged in the BDS (Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions) against Israel movement.

Rep. Tom Graves’ (R-GA) amendment was similar to bipartisan legislation that passed in the Senate by a 77-23 margin. The exact language of the amendment is attached to this e-mail. This is not something that should be partisan or controversial. This is about supporting Israel and showing that we will not stand with anyone who backs this fundamentally anti-Semitic movement.

Remember: House Democrats are bitterly divided over supporting Israel, with several members routinely invoking anti-Semitic tropes. This is yet another example of their party’s extremism on full display, as they’d rather bow to their rabidly liberal base instead of standing with one of America’s greatest allies.
