Yesterday, House Republicans filed a discharge petition with bipartisan support to force a vote on the House floor to end infanticide. The petition garnered more than 190 signatures on the first day, making it the highest number any petition has received in a single day in 22 years.
So, how are House Democrats responding?
“Oh my god. They just will not quit.” — Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.)
She’s right: House Republicans will not “quit” fighting for the most vulnerable among us.
Bottom line: Rep. Schakowsky and her allies have blocked 27 GOP attempts to consider Rep. Ann Wagner’s Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. That’s 27 times they’ve endorsed infanticide, and 27 times they’ve put their radical liberal agenda over doing the right thing.
Now the pressure is on House Democrats to sign on to this petition and give it an up or down vote on the floor.
