Honoring our Heroes: Face-to-Face

It’s been a scandal-plagued year for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Secret wait-lists have led to deaths, delays, and unacceptable treatment for those who put their lives on the line to protect our freedom.

Sometimes lost in the noise are the lives of the veterans themselves – whether it be a veteran of Iraq coping with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or a World War II veteran forced to wait months for a simple surgical procedure.

This week, a number of House Republicans took time to visit face-to-face with our nation’s heroes – to hear about their struggles and their ideas to fix the VA and give veterans the quality of care they deserve.
