On Tuesday night, Missouri Democrat William Lacy Clay was defeated in his primary by Cori Bush. Rep. Clay is the third incumbent Democrat to be beaten by a radical candidate running on a platform that embraces socialism and other extreme policies.
For example, Cori Bush endorsed defunding the police in June just days after David Dorn, a retired St. Louis police officer, was murdered in the district that Bush is seeking to represent:
David Dorn, a retired St. Louis police captain who became a small-town police chief, was found fatally shot outside a pawn shop that was looted after protests over the death of George Floyd turned violent. https://t.co/DkEGqt1Txe

"'We need to defund the police and make sure that money goes back into the communities that need it,' said Cori Bush, a progressive candidate running for Missouri's 1st District House seat, in a statement."#DefundThePolice #MO01 #STLhttps://t.co/UkK3S8Ahxc

Bush’s victory demonstrates how Democrats are increasingly embracing a far-left socialist agenda that would devastate the nation. As the Wall Street Journal wrote in an editorial published last night, “(t)hese results will echo through the Democratic House majority and pull it further to the left on policy and make it more partisan on politics,” while giving the socialist squad and their extreme proposals even more influence within their caucus.
