H.Res. 783 would resolve that the House of Representatives:
• "Recognizes Hispanic Heritage Month;
• "Celebrates the vast contributions of Hispanic-Americans to the strength and culture of the United States; and
• "Encourages the people of the United States to observe Hispanic Heritage Month with appropriate programs and activities."
According to the resolution findings, September 15, 2009, through October 15, 2009, the United States celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month.
