•  "Congratulates the Border Patrol and its exemplary workforce on 85 years of service to the United States."

 

Background

According to the resolution's findings, the U.S. Border Patrol has spent past 85 years keeping the country safe from threats like terrorists, illicit drugs, weapons, and criminals. Today over 18,800 agents risk their lives in pursuit of these objectives. The Border Patrol protects 8,000 miles of international borders with Mexico and Canada and the coastal waters around Florida and Puerto Rico.
