CONGRESSWOMAN ELISE STEFANIK
H. Res. 110 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds majority vote for passage. This resolution was introduced by Representative Michael Doyle (D-PA) on February 3, 2009.
H. Res. 110 resolves "that the House of Representatives congratulates the National Football League Champion Pittsburgh Steelers for winning Super Bowl XLIII and setting a new championship standard for the entire NFL."
On February 1, 2009, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 27 to 23 in Tampa, Florida. Winning Super Bowl XLIII has made the Pittsburgh Steelers the only team in the National Football League to hold a record six Super Bowl titles, making them the most successful franchise in NFL history. This Super Bowl victory was their second in four years.
