Background

On February 1, 2009, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 27 to 23 in Tampa, Florida.  Winning Super Bowl XLIII has made the Pittsburgh Steelers the only team in the National Football League to hold a record six Super Bowl titles, making them the most successful franchise in NFL history.  This Super Bowl victory was their second in four years.
