On Monday, December 8, 2014, the House will consider H.R. 5794, a bill to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 16105 Swingley Ridge Road in Chesterfield, Missouri, as the “Sgt. Zachary M. Fisher Post Office,” under a suspension of the rules.  H.R. 5794 was introduced on December 4, 2014 by Rep. Ann Wagner (R-MO) and referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

H.R. 5794 designates the United States Postal Service facility located at 16105 Swingley Ridge Road in Chesterfield, Missouri as the “Sgt. Zachary M. Fisher Post Office.”

Background

Sergeant Zachary M. Fisher served during Operation Iraqi Freedom in the 27th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade.[1]  He was killed in Lagman, Afghanistan on July 14, 2010, of wounds sustained when insurgents attached his military vehicle with an improvised explosive device.[2]
