Floor Situation

On Monday, November 17, 2014, the House will consider H.R. 5468, a bill to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 1103 USPS Building 1103 in Camp Pendleton, California, as the “Camp Pendleton Medal of Honor Post,” under a suspension of the rules.  H.R. 5468 was introduced on September 15, 2014 by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) and referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which ordered the bill reported by voice vote.

H.R. 5468 designates a U.S. Post Office facility located in Camp Pendleton, California as the “Camp Pendleton Medal of Honor Post Office.”

Background

 This legislation would specifically recognize members of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corp who have “received the Medal of Honor and have close ties to Camp Pendleton.”[1]
