On Monday, November 17, 2014, the House will consider H.R. 5386, a bill to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 11662 Gravois Road in St. Louis, Missouri, as the “Lt. Daniel P. Riordan Post Office” under a suspension of the rules. H.R. 5386 was introduced on July 31, 2014 by Rep. Ann Wagner (R-MO) and referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which ordered the bill reported by voice vote.
H.R. 5386 designates a U.S. Post Office facility located in St. Louis, Missouri as the “Lt. Daniel P. Riordan Post Office.”
Army 1st Lieutenant Daniel P. Riordan was killed in action on June 23, 2007 in Taji, Iraq, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom.[1] He died of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.[2]
