H.Res. 4547 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds vote for passage. The legislation was introduced by Rep. Joe Sestak (D-PA) January 27, 2010.
H.R. 4547 would designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 119 Station Road in Cheyney, Pennsylvania, as the "Captain Luther H. Smith, U.S. Army Air Forces Post Office."
Captain Luther H. Smith was a World War II pilot who flew 133 combat missions over Europe as a member of the famed Tuskegee Airmen.
According to CBO, any costs related to new post office designations, which include the cost of changing the name on the building, signs, and maps, are not significant.
