Background

Cecil E. Bolt was drafted into the U.S. Army just prior to WWII and was assigned to the 75th Artillery Unit in the Aleutian Islands in Alaska.  After the war, Cecil returned to Fowler and was appointed Postmaster in Fowler, CA, in 1947 and served in this position for 27 years.
