On Monday, December 8, 2014, the House will consider H.R. 4030, a bill to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 18640 NW 2nd Avenue in Miami, Florida, as the “Father Richard Marquess-Barry Post Office Building,” under a suspension of the rules. H.R. 4030 was introduced on February 10, 2014 by Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) and referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
H.R. 4030 designates the United States Postal Service facility located at 18640 NW 2nd Avenue in Miami, Florida as the “Father Richard Marquess-Barry Post Office Building.”
Father Richard Marquess-Barry has served as an ordained priest in the Episcopalian Church for nearly four decades, and currently serves as the pastor of the Historic Saint Agnes’ Episcopal Church in Miami, Florida. Father Marquess-Barry has been involved in a number of community projects, including the development of an affordable housing project for low and moderate income families.[1]
