The House is expected to consider H.R. 3606 in the House on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds majority vote for passage. This legislation was introduced by Rep. Peter Welch (D-VT) on September 17, 2009.
H.R. 3606 would amend the Truth in Lending Act to clarify that the 21 day notification requirements of the Credit CARD Act apply only to credit card accounts.
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has not yet produced a cost estimate for H.R. 3606.
