On Monday, September 8, 2014, the House will consider H.R. 2678, a bill designating the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 10360 Southwest 186th Street in Miami, Florida, as the “Larcenia J. Bullard Post Office Building,” under a suspension of the rules. H.R. 2678 was introduced on July 11, 2013 by Rep. Joe Garcia (D-FL) and referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which ordered the bill reported by unanimous consent.
H.R. 2678 designates the U.S. Postal Service facility located at 10360 Southwest 186th Street in Miami, Florida, as the “Larcenia J. Bullard Post Office Building.”
Larcenia J. Bullard was born on July 21, 1947 and served as a schoolteacher prior to running for political office.[1] Bullard served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 1992 until 2000, and the Florida Senate (representing the 39th District) from 2002 until 2012.[2] She passed away on March 16, 2013.
