McDaniels and Veterans Memorial Post Office Building,’’ under a suspension of the rules. H.R. 1391 was introduced on March 21, 2013 by Rep. Steve Stivers (R-OH) and referred to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which ordered the bill reported, as amended, by unanimous consent.

Background

United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal Josh McDaniels served with 2^nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2^nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejune, North Carolina. He was assigned to a mine detection unit in Afghanistan, securing the path for his fellow soldiers. He was killed in action on June 12, 2011 while conducting operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan at the age of 21.[1]
