Congresswoman Virginia Foxx on the constitutionality of the President's health care law
March 27, 2012
The President's health care law is antithetical to the American way of life.
Our country was founded on the concept of individual freedom and limited government. And the President's health care law turns those concepts on their heads.
It takes away our freedom and imposes the will of unelected government bureaucrats on American citizens.
Most Americans understand this, which is why they oppose this government take over of healthcare.
They also understand that the promises made to get the bill passed have been broken.
Instead of having 15 unelected government bureaucrats making decisions for 50 million seniors, we need to restore the freedom for Americans to make their own health care decisions.
