At the end of a town hall meeting in Junction City, Kansas, Congressman Tim Huelskamp was approached by a small business owner with concerns over his small business and its ability to thrive in today's environment. After running his business for over 12 years, Tom expressed his frustrations over how it is harder than ever to grow and expand his operations. Congressman Huelskamp managed to confront Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner at a House Budget Committee hearing last February with Tom's story, explaining that it's people like Tom who are the hardest hit when tax rates inexplicably go up and when economic policy provides no clear path for job creators.
