Congressman Huelskamp spoke at a House Budget Committee Markup on May 7, 2012 to offer a cost-effective solution for saving and improving Medicaid. Congressman Huelskamp remarked that certain states spend more money on Medicaid than they do on K-12 education; Kansas is getting close to doing so. Medicaid is currently on a downward spiral that will bankrupt us, yet there is an option that will improve Medicaid and do a better job without having to spend more money.
