WASHINGTON—On Wednesday, the House passed the Senate amended version of H.R. 886, the United States Marshals Service 225th Anniversary Commemorative Coin Act. The bill will now go to the President's desk for his signature. The proceeds from the sale of these coins will assist in the preservation and maintenance of artifacts and documents which will be displayed in the U.S. Marshals Museum. Additional proceeds will go to the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, the National Law Enforcement Museum, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Congressman Steve Womack, the sponsor of H.R. 886, spoke from the House Floor earlier in the day regarding the vote.
