Biography

Raśl Labrador was born in Puerto Rico and raised in a single parent household. His mother worked hard to ensure that her son had the opportunity to receive an education. After high school, he went on to obtain a degree from Brigham Young University and later completed his J.D. from the University of Washington. Labrador, an immigration attorney, ran his own law practice until elected to Congress. His political career began in 2006 when he was elected to the Idaho State Legislature representing western Ada County. In 2010, Raśl was elected to represent the people of the first congressional district of Idaho. Raśl and his wife Rebecca are the proud parents of 5 children, Michael, Katerina, Joshua, Diego, and Rafael. Their family is actively involved in their church and community in Eagle, Idaho.
