During consideration of H.R. 3674, the Promoting and Enhancing Cybersecurity and Information Sharing Effectiveness Act of 2011 (The PrECISE Act) by the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection, and Security Technologies, U.S. Rep. Patrick Meehan (PA-07) offered an amendment requiring a full review of existing regulations to identify gaps and avoid duplication prior to implementing new regulations. Rep. Meehan's amendment was approved.
