The Mulvaney (R-SC)/Dicks (D-WA) Amendment (No. 8) to H.R. 3523, Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, strengthens safeguards against potential misuses of individuals' information by prohibiting the government from retaining or using any information that does not relate to a cyber threat or national security, and authorizes the government to take reasonable steps to limit the impact of information sharing on individual privacy and civil liberties.
