
Mick Mulvaney was elected in November, 2010, as the new US Congressman for South Carolina�s 5th District. A lifelong Carolinas resident, Mick went to high school at Charlotte Catholic. After high school, Mick attended Georgetown University where he received a degree in International Economics, Commerce, and Finance and graduated as an Honor Scholar � the highest award given to students of the Georgetown School of Foreign Service.
After college, Mick attended law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received the Chancellor�s Scholarship. He graduated with a focus on anti-trust law and went to work with the highly regarded firm of James, McElroy & Diehl for several years before starting his own practice.
Mick and Pam were married in 1998, and are the proud parents of triplets. Shortly after the triplets were born, Mick joined the family homebuilding and real estate business. While there, he completed the Owners and Presidents Management Program at Harvard Business School.
He is active locally, as a founding member of the Indian Land Rotary, a youth baseball coach for Lancaster County Parks & Rec, a former Board member at Springs Memorial Hospital, a member of the Board of Visitors at USC-Lancaster, a member of the Fort Mill Area Chamber of Commerce, and a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and Our Lady of Grace Catholic Mission.
In the 112th Congress, Mick has been named to the House Budget Committee as well as the House Committee on Small Business. He has also been appointed Chairman of the Small Business Committee�s Subcommittee on Contracting and Workforce.
