As stated by both the current Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and his predecessor Robert Gates, these indiscriminate sequestration cuts are irresponsible and dangerous to the country as a whole. This is why I voted against raising the debt limit last year that included these sequestration cuts. We cannot spare the price of lost jobs and a diminished national defense as the President has proposed and plans to implement with sequestration.
